What is GoAnywhere Services™?
GoAnywhere Services™ is a collection of data transfer services that can be made available to your trading partners (e.g. customers, vendors, internal applications, employees, etc). These services will allow your partners to easily exchange data with your organization using popular file transfer protocols, without the need for proprietary client software.
Which platforms can GoAnywhere Services™ install to?
GoAnywhere Services™ can be installed onto Windows, Linux, IBM System i (iSeries), IBM System p (AIX), IBM System z (Mainframe), UNIX, HP-UX, Mac OS and Solaris platforms.
Do I need to load any software on my PC?
No. All GoAnywhere Services™ functions are server-centric. Administration and monitoring for the product can be performed remotely right
through your browser.
Which protocols does GoAnywhere Services™ support?
GoAnywhere Services™ supports the FTP, SFTP (FTP over SSH), FTPS (FTP over SSL/TLS), HTTP, and HTTPS protocol standards.
Do my trading partners need any special software to connect to GoAnywhere Services™?
No. Your trading partners can use any products or methods they wish to connect to your organization, as long as they use one of the standard protocols (FTP, SFTP, FTPS, HTTP/s) that you have enabled in GoAnywhere Services™.
Can my trading partners or employees connect through their browser?
Yes. If the HTTP/s service is enabled in GoAnywhere Services™, your trading partners and employees can simply connect to your organization through their browser. Once they provide a valid login, they can then quickly retrieve and upload (if authorized) files through a point-and-click interface. Are audit trails generated by GoAnywhere Services™?
Detailed audit information is recorded for all session activity such as user logins, uploads, downloads, deletes, renames, and more. These audit logs can be searched (using a variety of filter criteria), viewed, and also exported to a CSV file for ease of use. A central log (audit trail) is also maintained for global messages (e.g. when Services are started and stopped).
How well does GoAnywhere Services™ perform?
GoAnywhere Services™ has been optimized and bench-tested to satisfy the most-demanding environments.
Is the price of GoAnywhere Services™ based on the number of trading partners?
No. This server-centric solution allows an unlimited number of trading partners to connect to GoAnywhere Services™ on the system(s) or partition(s) in which GoAnywhere Services™ is licensed.
What are the license fees for a development or test machine?
If you wish to install GoAnywhere Services™ on a separate development or test machine/partition, the license fee is 50% of the list price of GoAnywhere Services™. If you wish to install GoAnywhere Services™ on two or more development and/or test machines/partitions, please contact Linoma Software for a custom quote.
Do I have to purchase a license for my Disaster Recovery (DR) machine?
No. If you purchase a license of GoAnywhere Services™ for your production machine, then you can use GoAnywhere Services™ on your DR machine as long as you pay the annual maintenance fee for this DR machine. The annual maintenance fee is 18% of GoAnywhere Services™ list price.
Is there a free trial available?
Yes. You can download a fully-functional trial of GoAnywhere Director to evaluate its benefits
within your own environment.
GoAnywhere Services can be installed onto Windows, Linux, IBM System i, IBM System p (AIX), IBM System z (Mainframe), UNIX, HP-UX, Mac OS and Solaris platforms. System i is also referred to as iSeries, as400, as/400 and i5.
