XML Write
XML documents can be created from data which is retrieved from one or more database files (tables). Additionally, XML documents can be created from data which is translated from other file formats including Excel, delimited text and fixed-width text.
GoAnywhere can create XML documents using a variety of user-specified options:
- Create multi-level XML documents
- Header/Detail support
- Custom XML tag names and attribute names
- Formatting options for dates and numbers
- Null substitute values
- Data trim options
- Indention option for tidy output
- Schema or DTD validation
- Pass in variables (at runtime) to override attributes
After an XML document is generated, GoAnywhere can then compress or encrypt the document and store it on the file system or distribute the document to a FTP server, HTTP server or email addresses.

GoAnywhere Director can be installed onto IBM System i, IBM System p (AIX), IBM System z (Mainframe), Windows, Linux, UNIX, HP-UX, Mac OS and Solaris platforms. System i is also referred to as iSeries, as400, as/400 and i5.
