Delimited Text Read
GoAnywhere can read data from delimited text files (e.g. CSV files) using a variety of user-specified options:
- Include/exclude column headings
- Field delimiters (commas, tabs, pipes, etc.)
- Record delimiters (CR, LF, CR/LF, LF/CR)
- Formatting options for dates and numbers
- Text qualifiers
- Null substitute values
- Pass in variables (at runtime) to override attributes
The data read from delimited text files can be imported into database tables. Delimited text files can also be translated into other formats including Excel, fixed-width text and XML formats.
GoAnywhere Director can be installed onto IBM System i, IBM System p (AIX), IBM System z (Mainframe), Windows, Linux, UNIX, HP-UX, Mac OS and Solaris platforms. System i is also referred to as iSeries, as400, as/400 and i5.
