Q. Our company owns an IBM iSeries. Is it possible to use GoAnywhere to send emails from a CL program?

A.
With GoAnywhere Director, we have included iSeries Command Line Projects. These commands include added native commands for performing SFTP gets/puts, OpenPGP encrypt/decrypt, ZIP, UNZIP and Send Email Messages
To take advantage of these native commands, verify that you are at the version 3.5 or higher of GoAnywhere Director.

The GoAnywhere i5/OS commands can be found in the installation library, which is GOANYWHERE by default.
These commands can be entered on the iSeries command line, placed in CL programs and used in job schedulers on the iSeries. These commands include added native commands for performing SFTP gets/puts, OpenPGP encrypt/decrypt, ZIP, UNZIP and Send Email Messages.

To take advantage of these native commands, verify that you are at the version 3.5 or higher of GoAnywhere Director.
The GoAnywhere i5/OS commands can be found in the installation library, which is GOANYWHERE by default.

The supplied i5/OS commands are accessible from a main menu in the GoAnywhere library, which can by launched with the command of Go GOANYWHERE/GAMENU (assuming GOANYWHERE is the library that you installed the product to).

These native commands can be found in the GoAnywhere menu of GAMENU4. Each command can be prompted and has on-line help text that is available through the F1 function key.

Before the native commands can be utilized, their underlying project must be first created in GoAnywhere.

To perform this initial Project creation, select option 1 from GAMENU4, which will execute the command CRTCMDPRJ.
