Request for Enhancement: Update Messages

Hi guys! So I just finished doing a ton of updates, because we were so far behind (we were on 2.6 with services, and 3 something with director).

I was honestly quite shocked that we were so far behind, as there is nothing to notify us of a new upgrade. I realize we can click administration/check for updates, and that works well, but remembering to do that is a whole different issue.

I would like to suggest having GoAnywhere Services and Director go out and check for updates on successful login, and maybe put a red line of text at the top - "A new update is available". Just something to alert us that we are missing out on the latest and greatest, and that we should go click that button.

If you look at the latest version of GAS (3.1.2), we added a News/Tips/Updates area like you are suggesting. They plan on releasing this with the next version of GAD as well. As long as you don't hide the Notification box, you will see these updates and/or Tips & Tricks as well.

It may not be a red line ... but, you'll get notified!
