AS2 Server
Applicability Statement 2 (AS2) is a method used to securely send and receive files over the Internet. AS2 messages are built using the S/MIME format and can be compressed, signed and encrypted. The messages are sent over an HTTPS (SSL/TLS encrypted tunnel), making AS2 a very secure option for transferring files. The AS2 standard also implements MDN’s (Message Disposition Notifications; also known as receipts) to guarantee the successful delivery of the message.
GoAnywhere Services™ is compliant with the RFC 4130 standard for AS2, which provides a high degree of security, features and compatibility to other applications that are sending messages. With built-in SSL certificate management, it's easy to define the AS2 server certificate as well as import trading partner certificates, which are required to verify the authenticity of the sender.
A full audit trail is available to report on all AS2 activity including the user that sent the message, what encryption algorithm they used, the MIC (message integrity check), whether it was digitally signed and more. In addition, GoAnywhere Services can automatically reply to the sender with a MDN receipt when a message is received or it can be configured to require manual verification of messages before receipts are processed.
