Advanced Options Added to GoAnywhere Services 1.3.0
Linoma Software released an upgrade to its secure file server solution GoAnywhere Services™. Version 1.3.0 adds enhanced security features with IP Filtering, Syslog feeds and additional Trigger actions, along with other updates and usability options.
The addition of IP Filtering – comprised of global-level and user-level Whitelists and Blacklists; provides advanced access control to GoAnywhere Services. This new feature allows organizations to determine (by IP address) which client systems are allowed and/or disallowed access to secure file server functions in GoAnywhere Services. A combination of singular and ranges of IP addresses can be specified. IP filtering is in addition to the rigid security features in GoAnywhere Services that include user, password, certificate and key-based authentication options.
GoAnywhere Services will log all file transfer and login activity for auditing purposes. This log activity can be viewed through its web-based interface and additionally exported to CSV format. In this new release of GoAnywhere Services, audit messages can also be sent to standard Syslog servers for centralized logging purposes. The administrator can choose the severity level of messages to send to Syslog with support for Informational, Warning and Error messages. The Syslog function in GoAnywhere Services supports both UDP and TCP protocols for transport.
GoAnywhere Services includes a unique “trigger” system to run other processes based on file activity. Triggers can send notification messages via email to one or more recipients. For instance, an employee can be immediately sent an email (with the file name) when a vendor uploads a file to the server. Triggers can also work with Linoma Software’s GoAnywhere Director application, a secure managed file transfer solution, to further process files behind your DMZ. In the new release, files can optionally be moved or deleted based on certain user-configurable criteria. For instance, when a file is downloaded by a certain customer, a trigger could move that file into an archive folder.
GoAnywhere Services is a secure file server that provides trading partners (both internal and external), with a secure connection to your system for exchanging files within a fully managed and audited solution. Popular file transfer and encryption standards are supported without the need for proprietary client software.
