Operating system preferences

We are going to install GA either in a Unix or a Windows environment. I was hoping you might have some insight as to which works best. For instance, is one operating system more efficient (my thought is that we'll have several folks creating projects, and many scheduled projects running at the same time)? Are there any limitations imposed on the capabilities of the software by either one? We have many projects running concurrently in the i-Series environment, and they will all be moved to the new box. Do both OS's handle concurrent projects equally well?
